Rosewood Hotel, Hong Kong

Perched high above Victoria Harbour, Rosewood Hong Kong was conceived by Tony Chi as an "Estate by the Harbour"—a place that connects Hong Kong's past, present and future while reflecting the legacy and vision of one of the city's great founding families.

The accessories and book curation for the hotel's 65 floors—including all 413 guestrooms and suites and its public areas - was guided by a curatorial vision that weaves together the legacy of the Cheng family, the spirit of Victoria Harbour and the cultural fabric of Hong Kong. Our scope also included the curation of the Asaya Spa, where the focus shifted towards creating a calm, restorative environment in keeping with its distinct identity.

For the sixteen guestroom floor lift landings, conceived as intimate "Salons," we created a series of installations inspired by the traditional salon as a place where art, books, textiles, collections and family heirlooms reveal the character and history of a home. Honouring the legacy of the Cheng family and the vision that shaped Rosewood Hong Kong, each salon invites guests to discover a story of one man, one family and their enduring connection to Hong Kong's beloved harbour. Together, they form an ode to the people, places and cultural influences that have shaped both the city and this remarkable property.
